We hosted multiple menstrual hygiene sessions for adolescent girls at the Mukundwadi Community Centre and talked about a range of topics from gender equality to menstruation and product choice to sustainability. It was heartwarming to see the girls so receptive to new information and ideas!
We distributed biodegradable sanitary napkins to adolescent girls that needed them as a way to make them aware about the kinds of products available. They were okay with holding a bunch of sanitary napkins as we walked down the street!
At Mission SanScar, we use many games and other fun activities to educate our adolescent audience. Learning through fun is an important part of the work we do. The girls were very happy to leave the classroom and play a fun game of hopscotch, all the while learning about gender equality!
Team lunches in the community reinforce the work we do and are integral to building a relationship with our partners and beneficiaries. And it helps that the food is so tasty and the conversation so cheerful!
